Work Order Inventory Validation for System Setup
Follow the validation rules below when entering data into the System Setup File. Proper inventory configuration ensures accurate tracking of materials used in work orders.
Validation Rules: Work Order Inventory
Work Orders in ExactEstate support the tracking of inventory usage. Every time a work order is completed, you can associate inventory items used to maintain accurate records of the products on-hand.
- Inventory Item Name: Provide the exact name of the inventory item you want to track. Examples may include: paint, nails, tools, etc.
- Quantity: Enter the number of items currently on hand. This should reflect the available stock for that inventory item.
- Price: Enter the amount each item costs.
- Description: Provide a description of the inventory item to further identify its purpose or functionality.
Helpful Tips
- Ensure that each inventory item name is unique to avoid confusion during work order tracking.
- Update quantities regularly to maintain an accurate inventory count.
- Use clear and concise descriptions to enable quick identification of items.
