Work Order Data Validation for System Setup
Follow the validation rules below when entering data into the System Setup File to ensure work order functionality is properly configured.
Validation Rules: Work Order Selection Data
Work orders in ExactEstate are primarily handled through customizable drop-down selections. Each component can be customized to ensure accuracy and relevance for your setup.
- Work Order Category: These represent the main topics or fixtures within a residence that may require a work order. Examples include: building exterior, electrical and lighting, appliances, etc.
- Category Items: These relate to specific items included within a Work Order Category. For example, a category like appliances could include: ceiling fans, lights, locks, blinds, etc. Ensure that you separate each item with a comma in the file.
- Only For Staff: Some work order categories may be restricted to staff only. To make a category visible only to staff, enter an X in this field.
Additional Notes
- Ensure drop-down options such as Categories and Category Items are meaningful to your work order process.
- Verify all data is properly formatted in the file to avoid upload errors.
- When using the "Only For Staff" restriction, double-check fields to ensure sensitive categories are properly managed.
