Unit Validation for System Setup

Please carefully follow the validation rules below when completing the System Setup File. Proper validation ensures a smooth onboarding process for your units within the system.

Validation Rules: Units

  • Building: The building name is required and must already exist within the system. Ensure the building is created before associating any units with it.
  • Unit: A unique unit number is mandatory for each unit.
  • Designation: The designation is required and corresponds to the floorplan designation used to assign pricing to units.
  • Floorplan: The floorplan name is required. This must match the name you defined earlier when creating the floorplan.
  • Parking Passes: Parking passes are optional fields. If included, they should be listed as comma-separated values (e.g., 1, 2, 3).
  • Garages: Garage entries are optional but must be listed as comma-separated values if provided (e.g., A1, A2, B1).
  • Storages: Storage spaces are optional fields. If included, ensure they are formatted as comma-separated values (e.g., Storage1, Storage2).

Helpful Tips

  • Ensure that the building, floorplan, and designation fields are correctly set up in the system before proceeding with unit validation.
  • Use a consistent naming or numbering scheme for Parking Passes, Garages, and Storages to avoid confusion.
  • If you don’t plan to track Parking Passes, Garages, or Storages, you can leave those fields blank.
