Floorplan Validation for System Setup
Please follow the validation rules outlined below when completing the
System Setup
File
to ensure proper data entry for your Floorplans. Accurate setup will streamline operations from the
start!
Validation Rules: Floorplans
Floorplans form the basis for unit management and determine how rent charges work. They also specify
inspection locations for unit inspections. Carefully fill out each field to ensure effective functionality.
Floorplan Name: Name your floorplans as you prefer.
Common naming
conventions include customized names or Bed-x-Bath formats (e.g., "2B-2B" or "2Bx2B").
Square Feet: Specify the total area of the floorplan
in square feet.
Beds x Baths: Provide the number of bedrooms and
bathrooms
available in the floorplan.
Utility Allowance: Enable utility allowances to help
families cover typical utility costs. Generally, this is a HUD-based value.
Inspection Locations: Associate inspection locations
with the floorplan, separated with commas (e.g., "Location 1, Location 2, Location 3"). If applicable, you may input "All" to link all inspection locations defined earlier.

Designations and Pricing: Designations classify
variations of
the same unit (e.g., different views or updates). Specify this in the
format designation:price, separated with commas (e.g., 99:1500, 100:1200) for proper pricing.
If applicable, please send us your Blueprint files for upload to cloud storage. Once stored, they will be
accessible to system users.
Helpful Tips
- Consider using consistent naming conventions across all Floorplans for better organization.
- Utility Allowances are optional and only required for HUD-governed properties.
- For Designations and Pricing, ensure the values align with the intended pricing structure for your
